So, perhaps you haven’t auditioned before or very little? Perhaps you have a free Voice123 membership or maybe no profile at all and are just interested in hearing what we have to say, so you can get yourself setup?

While we hope you learn a lot in our course and find some perspective on what you need to work on, we encourage you to study with a reputable, experienced voiceover coach before you try your hand at online casting. It is very important that you train, train, train. A voiceover coach can tell you if they think you are ready to start auditioning. If you are not, you are wasting your time and money on online casting.

Once a reputable coach says you are ready, we recommend setting your profile and playlists up fully on Voice123 with the free membership, then purchasing a Premium Membership (the standard one for $395) and taking it slow, only auditioning for those jobs that seem exactly in your wheelhouse.

We do not work for Voice123, so we can’t manage your pitfalls, only your expectations. There is A LOT of very good competition in voiceover. Slow and steady wins the race. (...plus, consistent hard work and undeniable talent.) Please contact Voice123 with any specific questions you might have about your own situation. You can reach them at help@voice123.com. Remember, we don’t work for them.

Also, Voice123 launched a free Voiceover Guide on "The Booth", their resource site for voice actors. The guide offers educational resources on how to get into voice acting and how to establish your voiceover business. The Booth also has interviews with new and successful voice actors on the platform, as well as insights from the product team.
